Why do you love Mallorca?

You get so much bang for your buck on this little island! From the cosmopolitan shopping paradise of the south, the dramatic rugged mountains to the west, the sweeping family beaches to the north, the romantic coves and bays to the east and not forgetting the vast fertile plains and timeless villages in the centre, there's a huge amount that's so easily accessible.      

Your top tip…

The public buses are a good way to get around, whether you want to visit the smaller local villages or go into Palma for the day. They are air-conditioned and you can just use a bank card to tap in when you board - always remember to tap out when you get off. 

Not a lot of people know this but…

When local shepherds need to round up their sheep in the Serra de Tramuntana, they don't use dogs – they use trained goats! These clever "goat commanders" have been guiding their woolly friends through the mountains for generations.
