We have had the most magical week at the villa. Our holiday unintentionally turned into a kitesurfing one but have thoroughly enjoyed it! This place is such a gem and we would love to come back.

Akyaka is very busy but characterful with good food, shops and cafés. Day at Cinar Beach Club was very enjoyable.

This was our fourth Simpson Travel holiday and it was really excellent as before. We had a Simpson Secrets Villa and it was really off the beaten track in Akayaka, just what we were hoping for. The only sounds we could hear throughout the day was birdsong and the rustling of leaves. Our concierge Nihat was superb, responsive, always available and nothing was too much trouble. We loved the local restaurants by the river and enjoyed some wonderful fresh fish lunches and dinners there. The meze was also brilliant. We will be back!

We last visited Akyaka 19 years ago. There have been some changes but it still retains a traditional feel. Pleasant riverside restaurants to enjoy a lunch or evening dinner with a wide range of options from a meze to beautifully cooked fish and meat dishes. The surrounding countryside offers up stunning locations and mountain cafés. And then there is a Simpson Secret! A wonderfully idyllic hideaway villa set in the pine forests above the town with views out across the treetops to the Bay of Gokova and the mountains. It looks like it has grown out of the hillside with all the wood and stone inside and out. We loved it so much that we spent many evenings eating there along with a bottle of wine! The owner’s sister, Kadriye, offers a traditional Turkish meal which she will cook and deliver – definitely worth it and it lasted two nights! Jessica, the Simpson representative, was always available and happily booked taxis, restaurants and boat trips for us. Nothing was too much trouble for her which helped make our holiday. Excellent service all round. Our 10th time with Simpson Travel. The 11th has already been booked for next year!

There was lots of contact with bookings, arrivals, departures which makes you feel very secure and that you are being looked after. The photographs of the accommodation, Simpson Secret – Akyaka, are true and there are no surprises when you arrive – in fact they do not do the villa justice. We also appreciated the little extras. Also, thank you for providing one bedroom villas – as a couple we are fed up with having to pay for a larger villa when there are only two of us.

Thank you so much Jess, Mehmet and Chiziz’s sister for the amazing meals which you really must try. Jess and Mehmet have been really helpful and professional, always there but not intrusive. The villa and seclusion was everything we wanted and needed, our batteries are now fully charged. We loved meals at Danza café, Turkish breakfast down by the river, Ephesus is well worth a day trip – truly spectacular. One of our highlights was Stratonikeia – an atmospheric abandoned village and quiet to wander around with stunning Roman remains. We have enjoyed the wildlife at the villa (outside and in!). We loved the Simspon Secret at Akyaka, a beautiful yet simple villa with stunning views and a lovely infinity pool. There are lots of interesting features in the house, the bath in the bedroom has a shower that is designed to be like water falling from roof tiles, the shower in the bathroom with uninterrupted views across the hills and down to Gokova Bay. Sounds odd but it works.The garden has several places to relax. The barbecue area was a favourite with us, watching an owl and the tiny bats nip down for a dip in the pool during supper was the evening entertainment. This was our second visit which is a first for us as we like to find new places but such was the lure of the place we just had to come again. Great find Simpson Travel.

My first experience of booking my summer break with Simpson Travel has been beyond all my expectations. The professional, organised and thoughtful attention the knowledgeable staff give you, from start to finish, makes the entire process stress free and an utter joy. Our villa, a Simpson Secret, nestled in the pine forest hills above charming Akyaka in Turkey, was perfect. Cut into hill, its full glass frontage looks out across the infinity pool to the bay below. The design of the villa is stylish, with every need considered. Some touches aren't necessarily 'requirements' such as the multi-coloured light surrounding the base of the round bed!, but they are great fun and show the love that has been poured into building the villa. We will certainly be booking with Simpson Travel again. Thanks to the entire team for a wonderful holiday.
